ESG maintains a HSEC policy that encourages the active participation of its employees. Providing the resources to review and improve the policy framework fosters a culture of ownership and empowerment that highlights the individuals role in managing their own and others’ health and safety
ESG’s exploration and development activities are regulated in NSW by the Department of Primary Industries (Minerals & Petroleum) under the Petroleum (Onshore) Act 1991. Industry specific safety guidelines including the NSW Schedule of Onshore Petroleum Exploration and Production Safety Requirements provide additional guidance in the conduct of the Company’s activities.
Environment
ESG Gas is committed to minimising the environmental impact of its exploration and development activities. We believe the term “environment” encompasses not only the physical environment in which we work, but includes people, their work and the things they value.
It is our intention to become a leader the expansion of the NSW’s Coal Seam Gas exploration and production industry. Excellence in environmental performance will be a fundamental component of this goal.
The Company’s activities in NSW are regulated by the Petroleum (Onshore) Act 1991, the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979, the Protection of the Environment Operations Act 1997. ESG also observes a range of industry specific guidelines including the Australian Petroleum Production and Exploration Association’s Code of Environmental Practice.
